Kelly Ahrens

I was not one to sit still, living all over the U.S. prior to planting roots in Vermont. I have been in the Restorative Justice field since 2009 and have had the opportunity to work with three Community Justice Centers. My experiences in this work have so far shown me that accountability is a skill that must be practiced and we have a responsibility to support each other, particularly our young people. More recently I've begun to understand our collective imaginations are possible and it's ok to break things to get there. I unwind by river swimming, CxC skiing, frying food, fixing things up, and spending time with my partner, two children, one dog, and our cat.
